Dove 7 Day Challenge: First Impressions, Experiences and Final Thoughts

I took the Dove 7 Day challenge recently, and since the idea was to use the Dove Beauty Cream bar, for 7  days and take before and after photo`s to share and post results, I will detail my findings below.

My Experience
* Dove Beauty Cream Bar: I must admit in the past, when I used the Dove soap, I just did not like it at all. To me, the texture of the soap was a bit rough and the smell just was not very appealing to me. This time around, I couldn't get enough of this beauty cream bar from Dove. Firstly, the smell is amazingly fresh, and attractive as my whole bathroom would smell of the fresh Dove scent, once I've used it. Also, I love the creamy effect this soap has once it comes into contact with water. One does not require harsh rubbing of the skin, to start cleansing all over the body. And the results thanks to Dove`s 1/4 moisturising cream, is cleansed, soft, lovely smelling, with a touch of radiance clean skin. This soap is gentle enough so even people with sensitive skin like myself can use it on a daily basis, without it causing any kind of irritation. This soap retails at R12each, which is a great price, considering its a use all over body kind of product.

*Dove Nutritive Solutions Intense Repair Shampoo: Product retails at R49.99 - 250ml, and is available from most leading retail outlets. Firstly, there is no better smelling shampoo or conditioner than Dove Shampoos` and Conditioners` on the market in my opinion.  This Shampoo really does a good job at cleansing my hair and scalp, when it comes to my thick natural hair (not chemically processed). My hair is left, shiny and soft, but yet conditioned, almost as though its been treated, but yet its only been washed and not yet Conditioned. Your hair will have renewed strength, once you have used this shampoo, and also it will continue to protect your hair, wash after wash. This shampoo is mainly for damaged hair, as we often stress our hair, with external factors, such as sun damage, pollution but also internal factors like heat damage or chemically processed hair. This is a good shampoo when it comes to protecting your hair, for now but also for the future.At R50 for a 250 ml, you shouldn't use too much of this product, but then again you don't need to use a lot of the product to get the job done!

*Dove Nutritive Solutions Intense Repair Conditioner: 200ml retails at R49.99 For me, with my ultra thick hair, I always tend to use a lot of conditioner to cover my whole head of hair. However, I found with the Dove Nutritive Solutions Intense Repair Conditioner, the product is really lumpy and a huge blob would often come out of the bottle once I squeeze it. I then apply the product in three sections which means 3 blobs to parts of my hair, and thereafter, I put on a shower cap. The smell once again of this conditioner is extremely lovely, fresh and attractive. And once I remove the shower cap after half an hour, my hair has not only soaked in the goodness of this intense repair conditioner but also the scent. My hair is instantly detangled and much more manageable and also, one can see the improvement in ones hair over time of using this product.

*Dove Derma Spa Hand Treatment: 75ml Retails at R45.95 For myself, I often work with harsh chemicals when cleaning at my home. And I found from the get go, when applying the Derma Spa Hand Treatment from Dove, it worked like a protective barrier. My hands are left soft, nourished and almost sleeve-protected from drying out. Again the scent of this Dove product does not fall short from any other Dove products, and for me personally even smells better. I love the packaging of this product with its gold like accents, its reminiscent and feels such like royalty if you catch my drift.  Dry hands is nothing but a thing of the past to me now, and I would definitely repurchase this product again, worth every cent.

*Dove Original Antiperspirant Deodorant Spray: Retails at R31.95 and is available from most leading retail outlets. This product is great for using directly under my underarms, as I never do that with any other Deodorant spray. My underarms are left soft, smooth and moisturised. Dove Antiperspirant is enriched with the trusted 1/4 moisturising cream which provided me with 48 hour protection. Its great for use on sensitive/delicate skin as its really not harsh on ones skin. And lastly, it has a subtle smell, which lasts for a long time.

My Final Thoughts: Firstly, I love the presentation of these products which came in a white organza drawstring bag. To me, it fits well with all the Dove products and the regal feel of the products. Then, the variety of products received which included hand treatment, a beauty cream bar, shampoo and conditioner and also antiperspirant, made it even better. So thank you to the sponsors of these lovely products, I really enjoyed reviewing the goods. Overall I would give the pack a 4.8/5 and the 0.2 is just for control. As these products combined are really worth every cent. I would definitely repurchase all of the above products, as its works well on its own, but also together. My favorite product you might ask me, is the Derma Spa Hand Treatment, I won't be caught without it. It just works, and works extremely well! The beauty cream bar follows second, because its a multitasker as I consider it an all over body product with the Shampoo and conditioner coming in third and fourth, because it works on my natural hair. And lastly, the antiperspirant enriched with 1/4 moisturising cream, is the only spray I can use under my arms, without my arms feeling like its on fire.
