Tell your Sister..

So recently something really caught my eye and I found it really interesting..

We as ladies, find it so easy to ask our friends, moms, sisters, cousins and in my situation my mom for advice on how we look, from our daily outfits to work, our hairstyles, our makeup etc.

However, we tend to keep quiet when our friend shows up with her hair all messed up because she got out the taxi and the wind in Cape Town, can at times be unforgiving..

or.. we keep quiet and look the other way when we see our besties rocking a new lippie in the worst possible colour, and when I thought about it I wondered why do we do this?

Surely, your bestie is not only that YOUR BESTIE, she`s someones daughter, a cousin, a sister, at times someone`s wife, but we keep quiet and ignore how her outfit, hair, makeup or whatever it may be today disappoints her!

Is it perhaps that maybe, just maybe we keep quiet based on the fact that maybe just maybe this once, YOU might just be the person getting all the attention if it be your friend is not looking her best today.  Seriously?

If so, I can only sigh ..I feel we as women should be proud of each other cause think, if its your friend you are going to be seen with her, be it her hair is all messed up what does it not say about you?.. (and Ill leave this to all you ladies to think about)

So next time ladies if you see your friend or friend of a friend has something that's not working for her at all, have the courage to tell her in a decent manner, `babe, that lipstick colour it really doesn't go well with your skin tone`, or `tjommie, your hair is a little messed up of the wind, just check the mirror quick`. (**,)

Trust me, your friend will fix herself asap, and you would be seen as much more than just that friend but someone with that added little something who`ll actually go the extra mile to tell someone when something`s really not working for her ;-)

Smiles all round
Nadine
xoxo
