A substitute for Pads/Tampons - Hell Yeah!

Subz Pads
Yes, that's what's new!

School girls from especially rural areas frequently miss school due to their periods.  This is really sad but a reality.  Not having sanitary pads, can make a girls life pretty complicated and even stressful as they don’t have any financial support from family or friends.   SubzPads made it easy for girl's to re-empower themselves and take back their dignity by completing their school year and making their periods that much manageable.  School girls are now able to attend school on a regular basis and complete their schooling without any hassle.

The entire process of the Subz Sanitary Pads, came about when the creator, Sue Barnes was requested to donate some washable sanitary pads and panties for underprivileged girls in her own area.  Subz are panties to which the sanitary pads can be clipped.

More about the Panties:
Each panty is made from 100 cotton knit, (130-140g) which allows skin to breath.  It’s also an eco-friendly/green solution, so it’s helping in aiding our planet.  The elastic has a standard non-woven rubber base, and wont stretch out of shape at all.  The pad has 6 layers, from which the outer layer is the 100% cotton knit, water proofing, 3 layers of hydrophilic fabric and then lastly the inner layer which is a hydrophobic fabric.  With it being fully washable and reusable it can last up to 5 years.

Sizing:
Sizes start from a minimum of age 10 years which come in XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL and XXXL.
The XS will fit a 12-13 year old girl.  Pads are available in one size and packs are labelled with the size.

Packaging:
Each pack contains 3 panties and 9 pads.  What’s great is that each pack comes with 9 zip lock packets in it for girls to put their used sanitary towels in.  The pack label also contains full washing instructions in both Zulu and English.

How to use Pads:
Each packs contains instructions for use and washing the pads, in both English and Zulu.  A pad is attached to the panty with the poppers.  When a pad is full after 3-6 hours depending on the flow, it can be easily detached from the panty.  Pads should not be thrown away.  With the washing instructions provided it can be washed and reattached to the panty.  Continue to use the panty and a new, clean pad.  Panties should be washed every day with soapy Luke-warm water and rinsed well in clean water.  Leave to dry.  Soiled pads should firstly be thoroughly rinsed in cold water.  Then thereafter wash the pad in soapy water.  Rinse well and leave the pad to dry.  Important: pads must be dry before reuse.

*Thank you Sue and your team from Subzpads for this great product and its all-round efficiency.  Personally, I feel no child should just miss or skip school as education is very important.  And young ladies, having become young women, should be confident and attend school just like their male peers and continue school.  Periods should not make up a huge part of their day when it comes to school if you get what I'm saying ;-)
Just to name a few places like Mamre, Westville prison and Willowfontein girls and ladies alike have all been blessed with this product.
